Stakeholder Communication

What you need to know

When someone asks “can Claude do this?”, give an honest answer that covers value and limits. The best answer describes the division of labour: what Claude does, what people do, and where the review step sits.

Answer honestly

  • Lead with concrete value: which step gets faster or better, and by roughly how much.
  • State limits plainly: Claude can make mistakes, so outputs need review on anything that matters.
  • Describe division of labour: Claude drafts and structures; a named person verifies and approves.
  • Set expectations about data handling and policy.

Plain business language

Translate limits into stakeholder terms: time, consistency, coverage, and risk. Rehearse until a non-technical colleague understands in under a minute.

Worked example

Three stakeholder questions: Can Claude write client proposals? Can it check compliance? Will it replace analysts? Each answer names Claude’s part, the person’s part, the review gate, and the value — then gets critiqued for overpromising and revised until a non-technical colleague follows it.

Exam traps

  • Say "Claude can do everything"

State what it does, what people do, and the review step.

  • Say "Claude is unreliable, so no"

Use it where it fits and design the split of work.

  • Omit the review step from the pitch

Stakeholders trust a workflow when they can see where review sits.

  • Promise without evidence

Share pilot results and corrections that review caught — evidence builds more trust than claims.

Practice scenario

A stakeholder asks, "Can Claude write our client proposals?" What is the strongest answer shape?

What you will practise

  • How to answer "can Claude do X?" without over- or under-promising.
  • How to state the division of labor between Claude and people.
  • Why the review step belongs in the answer.
  • How to translate limits into plain business terms.

Draft three stakeholder answers on the Domain 4 exercise with value, division of labour, and review.
